At our last class, our group got to meet our new friends in the Philippines! They sent us a fantastic video introducing themselves.
We spent the class learning their names, answering their questions about what school is like here in Japan, and putting together a video of Japanese games, like shiritori, hana ichi monme, take tombo and kendama. They even gave their friends in the Philippines a step-by-step tutorial on how to make origami cranes and ninja stars!
We ended the class with a game from the World's Largest Lesson (http://worldslargestlesson.globalgoals.org/). Some of the kids continued to talk about the activity to their families even after they went home!
We're looking forward to our next class on February 10th and hope to hear from our friends again soon!
